LICMIA is a strategic micro-insurance Partner-Agent of Metropolitan Insurance Ghana. The Agency has been in the insurance industry for the past 10 years and had collaborated with SAHAM Life Insurance to provide life insurance protection to members of selected local branches of GPRTU in Greater Accra Region and the Central Electrical Dealers Association in Accra, Ghana. Over a decade ago the uptake of insurance in Ghana has been very low. Gradually, the efforts of National Insurance Commission and insurance companies is paying off as more people are now becoming aware of the importance and need for insurance.

However, the negative perceptions of some Ghanaians about insurance remains an issue that is hindering the provision of insurance particularly in the informal sector of Ghana. The opportunity for us as an insurance intermediary is adapting to the uncertainties of what the future holds for prospective customers in our target markets.

LICMIA is collaborating with Metropolitan Ghana on TAG Insurance Scheme to provide Life insurance with Retirement Savings (Pension) Plan and Annuity for life products to members of Transport Associations/Unions and Fuel Pump Station Workers in Ghana.
